Curation - The Hand of Man

Curating one section of a high-school art history online course to integrate the artwork ‘The Hand of Man’ by Alfred Stieglitz in it.

Project as part of the course on Introduction to Instructional Design (ED103).

The objective of this project was to integrate the artwork ‘The Hand of Man’ by Alfred Stieglitz into an existing section (section 10) of the online course Exploring Personal and National Identity Through Art by Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art that is offered to high school learners.

My work involved researching the photograph, the artist and the time period to understand how this photograph complements the other pieces of art from the given section of the course.

The Understanding by Design (UbD) framework was used to identify the big idea and the key objectives for this artwork. The storyboard includes an introductory paragraph, three curated resources along with framing texts and additional resources for learners to explore.

The storyboard was designed as part of the project requirements.
