A training course on the use of a technology tool for teachers.

Project as a part of the course ‘Technology Use in Education’ of the MA in Educational Technology programme.

Hypervideos or interactive videos is a technology tool that I was introduced to during the course. I found it to be very interesting in how it can convert the passive activity of watching videos into an active learning process. With the pandemic impacting education worldwide, I felt that it could be a useful tool in improving remote teaching-learning experiences.

I developed a short course consisting of five videos on the use of this tool in an interactive format that could also give teachers an experience of this tool as a learner. The course was piloted with three teachers.

My reflections on designing and implementing this pilot training are captured as a part of my thesis for the master programme – Designing Training on Technology Tools for Teachers – a Dialogue with a Model.
